Christmas present, wrapped up and good to go
Few things are as satisfying as tearing through a Christmas present wrapping paper. I don’t know about you, but I think there may actually be people out there that care more about the ripping and tearing than the present itself. But to be honest, ripping the wrapping paper and the surprise Christmas present element when we find what’s inside, that’s what Christmas is all about.
Don’t think I’m an eco-terrorist either, I make sure all my Christmas presents are wrapped in recycled paper only – and although I can’t remove the wrapping paper perfectly (I told you I like to quickly tear it apart to get to the gift part, right?) some people consider it an art, allowing them to re-use the wrapping paper over and over again.
It’s often easy to think only about the Christmas gift, and hurry it up when it come to wrapping. But I can’t stress enough just how important the wrapping paper is. It’s all about the effect you’re trying to create on the person receiving it: just imagine how different it is to receive a "Christmas present" wrapped in a bright red wrapping paper, as opposed to – for example – white? Make sure you chose the right color and patterns. But even if you don’t get it right the first time, don’t take it too seriously: you’ll have another chance next year.
